Simran Arneja is a slim and beautiful 25-year-old girl working with a big organisation as a PR Associate. She walked into my clinic with complaint of stomach ache and some vomiting in the morning whilst she was at her office. She was feeling very uncomfortable thus, she took leave from the office and came to my clinic in the morning. She was wearing a light blue salwar kameez, she said she had a cultural event at her office, but had to leave it mid way due to her condition.

I asked her if she had eaten any junk food etc. to ascertain any food poisoning. She said no.

I asked her to lie on the examination table and then palpated her stomach to evidence any tenderness. She was visibly in pain as evidenced on her face.

I asked her how many times she had vomiting and she replied twice.

After examining her, I said to her

"Lagta hai apko stale food poisoning hua hai, aapne dhyan nahi diya hoga par apke food main issue tha"

Simran: Okay, shayad hua hoga, I usually take care of my my food and diet

Me: Theek hai, ek injection laga deti hoon, evening tak theek ho jayega

Simran: Madam sui lena jaroori hai kya, cant I get any tablets

Me: Tablets se aapko 4-5 din lagenge theek hone main, who bhi de sakti hoon main

Simran, after some thought. Theek hai aap injection laga do, waise mujhe injections se bahut darr lagta hai!!

Me, with a smile: Agar theek hona hai dear, to injection toh lena hi padhega na

Simran, a bit fearful: Theek hai

Me: Okay ulte ho kar table par let jao aur apni salwar loose kardo, main injection prepare karti hoon

Simran: Piche lagega kya, aap haath par laga do

Me: IM injection hai, with large dose, piche hi lagega

Simran, a bit hesitant. She turned around on the table and loosened her salwar

She was a bit fearful and watched me prepare the injection from the vial

Simran: Injection bada hai, aap dheere se lagana

Me: Dont worry dear

After getting my injection ready, I moved towards Simran. She had loosened her Salwar and pulled it down to expose her buttock

I cleaned the area on her left buttock with a swab

Simran: Dheere se lagana please

I jabbed the needle in her left buttock

Simran: Aaaah ! dheere, please dheere

She was too much in pain or it looked like that. Quite afraid of the injection. Her face showed the pain

I started pushing the injection in, she twitched in pain

Me: Hilo mat, sui toot jayegi


Simran: Aaaaah ! bahut dard ho raha hai. She started shaking her buttocks

Me: Bas ho gaya. I was slowly injecting the medicine but it hurted her as the medicine was supposed to hurt due to high pH concentration. She was visibly in pain and discomfort

Simran: Ho gaya kya aaah ! bahut dard ho raha hai

Me: Bas ho hi gaya, stay still

When the final volume of injection was pushed, her face was in pain and she let out a last sigh, Aaaah ! I removed the needle from her buttock and cleaned with the swab.  There was a small amount of blood that oozed out from her butt. I cleaned it and asked her to pull her panties and salwar.  She did it but was very much in pain.

Simran: Bahut painful tha yeh injection

Me: Bas ek hi injection se aap theek ho jaoge

Simran: Main doosra injection lene ka soch bhi nahi sakti, her tone was slow as she was in pain, she kept rubbing her butt with her hand.

Then she She stepped down from the table and was constantly rubbing her left buttock with her left hand. She paid my fee, thanked me and left the clinic with a limp.

I am sure she would have been fine after the injection and felt all right, since she did not come back. Though her experience was painful.
